How a project runs
Story
Concept, treatment and script drafts, with a budget you sign off before anything is booked.
Prep
Casting, locations, production design and a shooting schedule you get in writing, not over the phone.
Shoot
A small crew that has worked together for years, with daily rushes you can watch while we are still on the floor.
Post
A rough cut for your notes first, then colour, sound and delivery in every format the channel or platform asks for.
Script to final cut, one team
Everything a production needs happens under one roof in Dhaka, which is why a shoot can move from a note to a new setup in an afternoon.
Fiction production
Original drama for television and the platforms, plus commissioned work made to somebody else's slate.
- Single episode drama and telefilm
- Eid and festival specials
- Multi-episode serials and web series
- Short films and music videos
Brand and documentary
Commercials, corporate documentary and branded film, made by the same crew that makes the drama and held to the same standard.
- Documentary and corporate film
- TVC and digital ad films
- Campaign and launch content
- Event and coverage films
Post production
Finishing for our own productions, and for outside work that needs a post house rather than a laptop.
- Offline edit and colour grade
- Sound design, mix and master
- Subtitles and platform versions
- Delivery in every broadcast and platform spec
Small crew, big story.
Durbin Films was founded by Md Sumon Howlader on 10 October 2021 as a home for stories set in the world our audience actually lives in: family rooms, wedding houses, the roadside tea stall, places a Bengali audience recognises before anyone speaks a line. The studio produces television dramas, web series, short films, documentaries, and brand work, and its drama has aired on television as well as online.
We work with writers, directors and actors who want the same thing, on our own productions and on commissions for channels, platforms and brands. What a client gets is simple: one person to call, a budget agreed before the shoot, and a cut you see before anyone else does.
